General Labour Affects On The Gross Domestic Product

Canada may be headed into a recession. The economy contracted 0.6% in the first quarter of 2015. The forecast for the year is 2.0%. The central bank cut interest rates from 1.0% to 0.5%. That may only aggravate a housing bubble. The government could spend more, but the debt-to-GDP ratio is an already-high 92%. In this paper I am going to be focusing on general labour and how it coincides with Canada’s economy. So far general labour has been helping the Canadian economy grow and become stronger but for 2015, this has not been the case. The three things focused on in this report are general labour affects on the gross domestic product (GDP), inflation and unemployment. These three things are the base of the Canadian economy. This is bad for GDP because if there is a decline in general a laborer work, it is only a matter of time that Canada’s GDP will also decline due t o the decrease in demand for those workers. Businesses that need general laborer workers will look for workers in other countries. These businesses will be exporting labour to other countries that have the general labour staff they desire and will be contributing to their GDP growth. Since the general laborers are outside Canada, most of our finished goods will be exported into Canada. This will lead to the loss of more jobs and the decline of our GDP. The primary and secondary sectors are increasingly dominated by automation, and the demand for workforce numbers falls in these sectors. This may be good because this will increase productivity and help business save costs. Sadly, the replacement of human works for these automated machines is eliminating more jobs for Canadians. More Canadians will need to find jobs elsewhere, which will only hurt the GDP because those without work will rely on government assistance until they find employment. Inflation Inflation is the rate at which the general level of prices for goods and services is rising and the purchasing power of currency is falling. Canada is currently has an inflation rate of 1%. (Stickley, Kislitsyna, Timofeeva, Vagero, 448) This is the only percentages that could be obtained through a study, when the numbers are much larger than those because the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (2005) says that many partner violence crimes in Russia go unreported. This is due to the fact that, like the United States, family violence is viewed as a private matter. They do not want people getting involved in their personal relationships. In the play Oedipus Rex by Sophocles, Oedipus is a classic tragic hero. According to Aristotles definition, Oedipus is a tragic hero because he is a king whose life falls apart when he finds out his life story. There are a number of characteristics described by Aristotle that identify a tragic hero. For example, a tragic hero must cause his own downfall; his fate is not deserved, and his punishment exceeds the crime; he also must be of noble stature and have greatness. Oedipus is in love with his idealized self, but neither the grandiose nor the depressive Narcissus can really love himself (Miller 67). Later, after his self-inflicted blinding, Oedipus sees his actions as wrongdoing when he says What use are my eyes to me, who could never - See anything pleasant again? (Sophocles line 1293) and that blindness does not necessarily have to be physical as we can se when he says, If I had sight, I know not with what eyes I would have looked (Sophocles line 1325). In the play Oedipus Rex, Sophocles portrays the main character, Oedipus, as a good-natured person who has bad judgment and is frail. Oedipus makes a few fatal decisions and is condemned to profound suffering because of them. I agree with Aristotle that Oedipus misfortune happens because of his tragic flaw. If he hadnt been so judgmental or narcissistic, as Miller would characterize a personality like Oedipus, he would never have killed King Laius and called Teiresias a liar. Grenouille found this out by merely walking into somebody on the street while walking, and finding himself going the other way walking awkwardly. He took a moment and stopped himself to see what had just happened to him. After this revelation, he knew he had new and possibly powerful abilities. Grenouille realized this is more than just a power, but a close ally that will help him on his quest to find that scent with out much problem, like before. So for many months Jeean Baptisite toiled around town until the over heard a conversation in a local eatery that caught his fancy. It was Pierre Paul and his colleague at the traveling circus that was in town. They were discussing a young female they had seen on their journey here and were just remarking on her strange beauty and elegance. This peaked his interest because with such beauty, must come a scent. Grenouille followed Pierre home and took over his body. Having used Pierre Paul to find out which towns they have recently visited, Grenouille was off. Over the next few weeks, he traveled alone and unnoticed. Desperately searching for this girl, this anomaly among young woman. Finally on his fourth month of traveling Grenouille had found her. About a mile out of the town Montece, something caught his olfactory fancy. A new scent even more fabulous and exploding with sensuality than any other he had been able to bear witness to. He followed it like a wolf pack to its kill until at last he was on the threshold of this new scent. It was a modest cottage on the outskirts of Montece, kind of run down looking but there was a definite presence. For three days and nights Jean Baptiste hung around town and listened to the towns people talk and every so often a mention of this girl would come in to the conversation. Meanwhile the scent was driving Grenouille crazy and clouded his mind with thoughts that he was still a human presence, when he in fact wasnt. So with his curiosity at its peak he journeyed to the cottage. Upon entering this home he found nothing in the entryway but coats and clogs. Jean Baptiste made his way up the stairs. The scent was unmistakingly th ere. He floated through the first few doors with no luck but at the door down the hall he sensed it. He smelled the missing ingredient to his ultimate perfume. It smelled strangely enough like the red haired girl of the past but there was a difference. A subtle difference that too most it wouldnt even register but to Grenouille it was a vast difference. He slowly made his way to the door and took in the scent. Only this time, in his new body, he didnt need to be as stealth. He quickly acquired her scent in the usual fashion and left the body, deprived of any scent or even that white hair, and left Montece. The tale of the murder spread quickly throughout the region and there was a new interest in finding Grenouille the killer. However, that name nor its presence was ever felt again by the people of France. Although that is not entirely true There is a tale about a mountain in France that seems to make people happier. It is a mountain called Mount de Bobricke, which is south of Paris. Grenouille now resides in his old mountain home for eternity but as he has found his perfect scent he shares it with those that pass by his mountain. He continually makes it and sends it out into the surrounding air for people to enjoy. Over time, this mountain has become a vigil to some, almost a fountain of youth if you will. To this day, people visit Mount de Bobricke for the scents and beautiful atmosphere that his scents make around the surrounding area. They feel a presence and happiness while sitting around the mountain.
